Bill Frist wants you to vote too.

there's nothing better than the line about Democratic obstruction and the things the Republicans could have done if only the Democrats weren't so obstructionist....

Subject: Frist: The Stakes Couldn't Be Higher

Over the past several months, I’ve campaigned nationwide with common-sense conservative candidates who offer a hopeful, forward looking Agenda for the country. Bright leaders ready to take responsibility and make a positive difference.

Candidates like Michael Steele who was raised by a single mom in a segregated city, yet rose to become the first state-wide elected African-American in Maryland’s history. Candidates like Tom Kean, Jr., an independent reformer fighting the politics of corruption in a state dominated by party bosses for too long. Candidates like Jim Talent, who co-authored welfare reforms that helped break the cycle of government dependency that afflicted so many of our Nation's poor. Candidates like Bob Corker, who has created hundreds of jobs, who has revitalized Chattanooga by cutting violent crime in half, who has founded a non-profit to secure affordable housing for over 10,000 families. These candidates need your help and your vote on Tuesday.

These last two years, in the face of unprecedented Democrat obstruction, Republicans working with the President have achieved:

Two exceptional Supreme Court justices. Tax relief to grow our economy and shrink unemployment to new lows. Secure fencing along our southwest border. A reauthorized Patriot Act. Sweeping reform of our broken legal system. Terrorist tribunals to convict and punish the perpetrators of 9/11.

But more could have been done.

If Democrats had set aside partisanship, we could have worked together to pass an amendment protecting the American flag ... pass the Child Custody Protection Act ... confirm additional Circuit Court Judges ... confirm John Bolton ... repeal the unfair Death tax ... enact badly needed medical malpractice reform and make the tax cuts permanent.

As you can see, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed a dollar, volunteered an hour, hosted a lawn sign, left a comment on a blog post, passed out literature, or talked up any of the candidates who share our beliefs and values. And I'd ask you to go that final step: to vote and to do everything you can to ensure that your friends, family and co-workers do so as well. Offer to take them to the polls, remind them to vote with an email or a call and volunteer if you can at the local Republican Party headquarters.

Your support has made and will continue to make the difference.

Bill Frist, M.D.
